Paul J. Cassano is the President and Managing Member of Abbey Home Elevator of AZ, LLC. Paul’s extensive career in the Accessibility and Residential Elevator industry started in 1988 after he left his nursing position in the Operating Room at Rochester GeneralHospital in RochesterNY. His new career path took him to Northside Surgical where he was introduced to the Accessibility Products field. It was a quick transition into a field that he was passionate about and would continue through his career.

After being appointed by the Mayor of Rochester to the newly constructed “Elevator Task Force” that Paul would find his niche. As he served on the task force, Paul was then asked to be the County of Monroe’s advisor on ADA Compliance. Eventually, he would be involved in the creation of the Accessibility Equipment Inspection checklist currently used by National Elevator Inspection Services.

The step in Paul’s career took him to the National Wheel-O-Vator Co. in Roanoke, IL. Where he established their first “retail” store called “Lifts of Illinois”. Once established as one of the top performers for NWOV he was asked to serve as the National Sales Manager. For the next 7 years he would continue to grow the company and experience all facets of the business from Sales Management, Dealer Management, Research and Development to International Business. Paul continued his career development by being involved in the charter International Business Program at BradleyUniversity, considered to be one of the Best Business Schools in the Mid West.

After the birth of his twins in 1997, Paul moved to Arizona and worked for Arizona (Dover) Elevator Co. He was promoted to District Sales Manager for Residential and Accessibility Equipment. His offices included Las Vegas, Eagle, Denver and Phoenix. Paul was also involved in the training and education in the Albuquerque, El Paso and Houston office personnel. In 2000, Thyssen Krupp, AG purchased Dover Elevator, Access Industries, CEC and many other firms. With that transition came the phasing out of dedicated Residential only salespersons so Paul made the transition to work with the “new” Access Industries.

Paul’s first responsibility was to organize and structure a division called American Access Systems, Access Industries Direct Sales entity. In charge of 4 offices he held the role as Field Operations Manager. Upon the arrival of the new TK management Paul was asked to take on the role of Regional Account Manager for the West. Operating in that role, achieving Sales Manager of the Year for 2002, and growing the Western Region, Paul decided that his future was to be an “Owner”. He joins Abbey Home Elevator of AZ as just that! Proud of his past and proud of his future.

Paul resides in Phoenix with his wife, Kim and their 3 boys, Justin, Derek and Cody.
