Electrical Requirements

You should have Abbey Home Elevator as a licensed California elevator contractor coordinate the electrical requirements with your General Contractor or licensed electrical contractor.  The electrical contractor should be aware of the local code and coordinate and provide the wiring for the elevator.

All power supply should be to a fused, lockable, safety disconnect.

LEV

Power Supply: 208/230V, 60 Hz, 20 amp single phase power supply

Safety Devices:
• 115 VAC lockable auxiliary disconnect for car lighting circuit
• 208/230 VAC lockable auxiliary disconnect for drive unit circuit
• Upper and lower terminal limits
• Final limits (2 upper, 1 lower)
• Slack chain safety
• Pit switch
• Car top stop switch
• Battery backup emergency light and alarm
• Car gate safety switch
• Electromechanical interlocks (for doors by others)

Chapparal

Power Supply: 208/230V, 60 Hz, 30 amp single phase power supply


Safety Devices:
• Manual emergency lowering device
• Upper and lower terminal limits
• Manual reset slack rope safety switch
• Automatic bi-directional leveling
• Anti-creep device
• Pit switch
• Minimum pressure switch (hydraulic drive only)
• Pump run timer (hydraulic drive only)
• Car top stop switch
• Battery backup emergency light and alarm
• Car gate safety switch

Windsor

Power Supply: 115 VAC, 60 Hz, 20 AMP

Minivator

Power Supply: 115 VAC, 60 Hz, 20 AMP

Motor: 3/4 hp, 110 VAC, 60 Hz, single phase

Drive: 80:1 reduction helical worm gear


  
 *  Main Line Disconnect Switch:

Fused and lockable, three pole safety disconnect.  As per NEC, requires branch circuit wire for 30 amp service, fused with 25 amp dual element time delay fuse.
